Transportation to Whistler

Whistler is another 123 Km (76 miles) north of Vancouver City.  It’s a scenic 2 hour route along the Sea to Sky Highway by car.  Estimated travel time via bus from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is 2.5 hours.  Coming from Vancouver, methods of transportation to Whistler could be via bus or car. 

 

PLEASE NOTE! The transportation committee will not be providing transportation for delegates to/from Whistler. 

All guests must make their own arrangements in getting to/from Whistler on Friday, August 26th and on Sunday, August 28th accordingly.

We will however, arrange for pick-up from the airport (or bus terminal) for those who will be hosted before conference, and we will arrange for drop-off from the host family to the airport (or bus terminal) for those hosted after conference.

 

The conference venue, Aava Whistler Hotel is located within the heart of Whistler Village (as seen on the village map attached).  It’s easily accessible to all amenities and walking distance to the bus loop (Gateway Loop).  Provided below are possible options in getting to/from Whistler.

 

Pacific Coach

Whistler SkyLynx provides direct service from YVR to Whistler.

This is a convenient option for delegates arriving at the airport on Friday, August 26th since they can make their way directly to Whistler and not have to leave the airport!

  • Tickets can be purchased at the bus counter in YVR or online
  • Departs 5 times during the day: 10:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00 & 20:00
  • One way is about $49 and roundtrip is about $89
  • For additional fees, they provide pick-up/drop-off at your designated hotel (in this case, Aava Whistler Hotel is in Zone 1)

Greyhound

Greyhound Vancouver Terminal (by Main St. Science World Station) to Whistler

  • Tickets can be purchased at the terminal or online
  • Departs 6 – 7 times throughout the day
  • Roundtrip is about $60
  • Whistler Village pick-up/drop-off will only be at the Gateway Loop

Please note that there will be NO hosting available in Whistler before/after conference.  Those delegates that do require hosting before/after conference will be hosted in Vancouver.
